Research Institute of Medium & Small Shipbuilding (RIMS) has played a role in enhancing the competitiveness of the small and medium shipbuilding industry and fostering technological innovation since its establishment in 1997. RIMS has grown into a core research institution in the shipbuilding field, supporting the development of key technologies needed for the design and production of various vessels, including high-speed boats, special-purpose ships, medium and small-sized cargo vessels, fishing boats, coastal passenger ships, and leisure vessels. In addition, it conducts national policy proposals, performs national policy research, carries out tests and certifications, and provides support to small and medium-sized enterprises. |
