Company Introduction Since HJ Heavy Industries was established as Korea's first steel shipbuilder in 1937, it has played a leading role in the growth of Korea into a world-class shipbuilding powerhouse. With 88 years of experience and advanced production systems, it has expanded its capacity to build eco-friendly and high value-added ships and developed innovative new technologies and new construction methods to become a world-class comprehensive heavy industry company.
In particular, the company has been leading the way in enhancing maritime defense capabilities based on its unique technology and rich experience. Since its designation as the first defense company in 1974, it has built high-speed ships, patrol ships, frigates, support ships, landing ships, and submersibles. Recently, it has built state-of-the-art ships, such as multi-purpose large transportation ship, landing ship, auxiliary towing salvage, landing ship fast(LSF-II), high-speed patrol vessel, multi-purpose training boat, and patrol/salvage vessel.
Product Introduction The entire project is carried out independently from the development, design, and construction of state-of-the-art ships, including the Dokdo and Marado ships, the first & second large-scale transportation ships in Korea, the amphibious Landing Ship Fast(LSF-II), the stealth next high-speed patrol vessel(PKG/PKX), and the Coast Guard's 3,000 to 300-ton patrol vessels.
